Please help to make the Second Annual Fort LeBoo Fest a success by having fun creating a scarecrow or carving a pumpkin for the contest. To register, simply email JoAnne by Oct. 8 at jlenartweary@gmail.com with your contact info, group name and category. No entry fee.

Categories include:

1.Traditional - Most Likely to Scare a Crow.

2. Historical - Created to represent a person or event in history.

3. Creative - Let your imagination run free. Whimsical, Fairytale, Humorous, Fantasy, Celebrity, etc. it is all fair game. Please remember, this is a family event.

4. Kids - 14 and under. May be assisted by adult, but majority of work must be completed by kid or kids. Informal groups of children may collaborate and enter one entry.

5. Group - Church, service, school or booster group.

6. Business - A scarecrow that represents your business. High Street Merchants are encouraged to place your scarecrow in front of your business, all others may place them on the Historic Square around Judson House.

We need volunteers and helpers for the Fort LeBoo Fest, If interested, please Join us October 6, at 7 PM at the Fort LeBoeuf Museum, to finalize details and learn how you can help. We are looking for decorations for Fort Le Boo Fest, October 15-16 on the Historical Campus. If you have any pumpkins, cornstalks, Indian corn gourds and/or mums to donate or sell reasonably, please contact JoAnne at 814-440/3044 or jlenartweary@gmail.com. This community event will benefit Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society. Free admission with food and more. Come vote for the scarecrow of your choice. The minutes for the August 25, 2016 General Meeting of the Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society has been posted.

We need volunteers for scanning, tour guides, gift shop workers, Witches Tea Helpers, Boofest helpers, Colonial Christmas workers, window cleaning. Any little thing you can do would be greatly appreciated.

We have t-shirts available in the gift shops.

We now have Lew Dove's books available to sell. We have 7 different books to sell.

Boofest will be chaired by JoAnne Lenart-Weary. This will be held October 15th.

The Second Annual Fort LeBooFest brought to you by the Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society is on Oct. 15-16. This is your chance to showoff your or your group's talents! The Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society is registered with the Erie Community Foundation to receive donations during Erie Gives Day - August 9 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We receive all the donations plus a matching funds percentage. These funds will help preserve the History of Waterford, PA. Please give! Every dollar helps to preserve our history!
